Medical Terminology/May 12th

Medical Terminology is stressing me out! We received a 23 page, 200 question review sheet and we have to know all of it for the test. The whole thing is pretty much vocabulary so it is A LOT of memorization. I spent nearly every night this week working on it only to find out that I had a million things wrong on it...so I need to correct that. I normally wouldn't be this worried about a test but if you get an 86% or above it counts as college credit!
May 12th is such a crazy/busy day. At 8:30 A.M., I have National Honor Society pictures. Following that, we have Graduation rehearsal for the ceremony. At 2:30, I have to decorate for a dinner for the National Honor Society Induction of new students at 5:30. After that, I have Awards Night in the Johnny Carson that I have to be at for National Honor Society. Also, sometime during the day, I have to take a picture for the yearbook for the Nucor Foundation Scholarship.

Finally!

I think that I have finally added all of my writings into my portfolio. All I really need is a couple of edits and my table of contents and it should be completely finished! Friday is my graduation party and I am putting the final touches on everything for the open house. It's hard knowing how much food you need or if there is enough seating and stuff like that because you don't really know how many people will end up coming! Ugh.. can't wait for the end of this week. :)

To-Do Lists

Today, I have been getting a lot of stuff done...which is good. Because of all of the stress from graduation, I have had to make a to-do list everyday this week. I almost finished everything off of today's list. Tonight, I coach 3 gymnastics classes then I am going to try to finish everything for Creative Writing. Tuesday nights are hectic at the gym so hopefully it all goes well! :)

Tonight...

Tonight has been the longest night ever. I worked all night and have the worst headache of my life. The Internet on my laptop isn't working :( and so I have to use my dad's. boooo. I really just want this week to hurry up and be over with. That way, I can catch up on sleep since I got about a total of 4 hours this weekend between Prom and my cousin's confirmation. Ugh I am crabby and going to bed. Goodnight!!

Graduation

I cannot believe that I will be graduating so soon. I have most of the things ready for my open house. My party is a week before actual graduation so we've had to have everything ready for awhile now. Of course, there are the last minute things that we still need to get done yet like picking up the cake, decorating, and many other things. My party is at Fair Play Golf Course and on Friday. We will have to do the setting up and decorating quickly after school that day to get ready. I am kind of getting nervous and sad for the actual day of graduation. It will be so sad not seeing everyone. At least we have summer to spend together before everyone moves away for college!

Carnival!

Tonight is the Bel-Air Carnival and I have to help with it for Student Council. Also, for National Honor Society we have to have 6 community service hours done by May 1st so I'm counting my volunteer work at this carnival as community service too. This way, I'm getting two things done at once. I have one page left to write in my first chapter of a novel and my time capsule. I'm having troubles thinking of things to put in the time capsule. Prom is this weekend..and post prom afterwards til 4:30 and then I have to be up at 9 to go to my cousin's confirmation. 4 hours of sleep = crabby Kelci! :(

State Gymnastics/Last Night

This past weekend I spent most of my time at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs. They held state gymnastics there. Why would they hold Nebraska state gymnastics in Iowa? I really couldn't tell you. All of the girls that I coach did a really great job. One girl, Erin, who is a level 5 really did great. We have been working so hard in practice for her to stick her cartwheel on the beam but she can never do it. She always falls off. At state, she finally stuck it and got a really great score.

Last night at gymnastics, I was teaching some of the younger kids. I told them to stop messing around or someone was going to get hurt. Literally one minute after I had said this a boy jumped up, fell off of the floor and landed, face-first, on to a ladder. He stood up and started screaming and crying. His face had an indention from where the ladder hit. I picked him up and ran to the room with ice. It instantly turned purple and blue and started to bleed. He turned out fine, but lesson learned I guess.
