Medical Terminology/May 12th

Medical Terminology is stressing me out! We received a 23 page, 200 question review sheet and we have to know all of it for the test. The whole thing is pretty much vocabulary so it is A LOT of memorization. I spent nearly every night this week working on it only to find out that I had a million things wrong on it...so I need to correct that. I normally wouldn't be this worried about a test but if you get an 86% or above it counts as college credit!
May 12th is such a crazy/busy day. At 8:30 A.M., I have National Honor Society pictures. Following that, we have Graduation rehearsal for the ceremony. At 2:30, I have to decorate for a dinner for the National Honor Society Induction of new students at 5:30. After that, I have Awards Night in the Johnny Carson that I have to be at for National Honor Society. Also, sometime during the day, I have to take a picture for the yearbook for the Nucor Foundation Scholarship.

Finally!

I think that I have finally added all of my writings into my portfolio. All I really need is a couple of edits and my table of contents and it should be completely finished! Friday is my graduation party and I am putting the final touches on everything for the open house. It's hard knowing how much food you need or if there is enough seating and stuff like that because you don't really know how many people will end up coming! Ugh.. can't wait for the end of this week. :)

To-Do Lists

Today, I have been getting a lot of stuff done...which is good. Because of all of the stress from graduation, I have had to make a to-do list everyday this week. I almost finished everything off of today's list. Tonight, I coach 3 gymnastics classes then I am going to try to finish everything for Creative Writing. Tuesday nights are hectic at the gym so hopefully it all goes well! :)

Tonight...

Tonight has been the longest night ever. I worked all night and have the worst headache of my life. The Internet on my laptop isn't working :( and so I have to use my dad's. boooo. I really just want this week to hurry up and be over with. That way, I can catch up on sleep since I got about a total of 4 hours this weekend between Prom and my cousin's confirmation. Ugh I am crabby and going to bed. Goodnight!!

Graduation

I cannot believe that I will be graduating so soon. I have most of the things ready for my open house. My party is a week before actual graduation so we've had to have everything ready for awhile now. Of course, there are the last minute things that we still need to get done yet like picking up the cake, decorating, and many other things. My party is at Fair Play Golf Course and on Friday. We will have to do the setting up and decorating quickly after school that day to get ready. I am kind of getting nervous and sad for the actual day of graduation. It will be so sad not seeing everyone. At least we have summer to spend together before everyone moves away for college!

Carnival!

Tonight is the Bel-Air Carnival and I have to help with it for Student Council. Also, for National Honor Society we have to have 6 community service hours done by May 1st so I'm counting my volunteer work at this carnival as community service too. This way, I'm getting two things done at once. I have one page left to write in my first chapter of a novel and my time capsule. I'm having troubles thinking of things to put in the time capsule. Prom is this weekend..and post prom afterwards til 4:30 and then I have to be up at 9 to go to my cousin's confirmation. 4 hours of sleep = crabby Kelci! :(

State Gymnastics/Last Night

This past weekend I spent most of my time at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs. They held state gymnastics there. Why would they hold Nebraska state gymnastics in Iowa? I really couldn't tell you. All of the girls that I coach did a really great job. One girl, Erin, who is a level 5 really did great. We have been working so hard in practice for her to stick her cartwheel on the beam but she can never do it. She always falls off. At state, she finally stuck it and got a really great score.

Last night at gymnastics, I was teaching some of the younger kids. I told them to stop messing around or someone was going to get hurt. Literally one minute after I had said this a boy jumped up, fell off of the floor and landed, face-first, on to a ladder. He stood up and started screaming and crying. His face had an indention from where the ladder hit. I picked him up and ran to the room with ice. It instantly turned purple and blue and started to bleed. He turned out fine, but lesson learned I guess.

Graduation Dress

This weekend I plan on going to Sioux City. I need to find a dress for graduation. It sounds so simple, right? Well dress shopping is something that I really, really, hate. I wish it were as easy as it sounds but it most definitely is not. You have to make sure it fits you right and I hate trying things on. I went to Sioux City last weekend and had no luck. I tried a million of them on and for some reason I was being extremely picky and left every single store with nothing in hand. Hopefully, when I go to Sioux City this weekend I will have a little more luck and will be in more of a shopping mood.

i love stress. NOT

Seriously, I don't think that I have ever been this stressed in my entire life. Yesterday after school, I made a to-do list on my phone and it seems like it will never end. I work every night after school so by the time I get home I forget what I was supposed to get done for that day so a to-do list was much needed. I have one more narrative I need to finish and then I can start my first chapter of a novel. I am having troubles thinking of what to write about for my narrative inspired by a picture from my childhood. Any ideas?

My Weekend.

This weekend I am going to be soooooo busy. I most likely will not be able to sleep in until summer because I have so much stuff going on. On top of graduation planning, school and work have been very stressful. I don't work tonight so I plan on catching up on some serious sleep. Saturday, I have to take a friend's little girl to her first Gymnastics class, which happens to be where I work. So, I'll sit through her class and then I will take her home and go to my other job from about 11-4. On Sunday, I have a Gymnastics competition in Fremont. So, I will be there for a good 12 hours. I leave town for that about 7:45 A.M. Overall, I'm super pumped for tonight to just sleep and chill out!

Catch-up.

I'm finally catching up on some of my blogging. I was so busy writing my One-Act. Oh yeah, and Rebecca Black: Your "Friday" song is absolutely terrible! I think that we all know that Thursday comes before Friday and after Friday comes Saturday then Sunday. Haha wow.
Anyways, I really haven't been feeling good lately. I missed about half a day on Wednesday and have had a stomach ache and a headache ever since.
Booooo. I just want to feel better!

The Weather.

Yesterday, the weather made me in a bad mood. Right after school, it was so nice outside that I had all of my windows down and my sunroof open. By the time I got out of work at 5:45, it was FREEZING. I headed straight from work to stand in line for the Panthers district game. It was so terrible because I was under-dressed since it was much nicer out earlier. I am so ready for spring. I want to just be able to walk outside without a winter coat on and know that an hour later there won't be a blizzard :(

this week.

My parents left for Cabo on Saturday afternoon before Winter Royalty so they didn't even get to see me in my dress :( I had the hardest test of my life today in Anatomy and Physiology. I failed it for sure. Tomorrow I get off work early to go to the Panthers district boys game. My brother is a freshman and can't drive yet and so I have to take him to school everyday. He informs me today that he needs to get to school early the rest of the week which means I have to wake up earlier. GREAT. I'm not a morning person. March 1st is my mom's birthday but she's in Cabo so we won't get to celebrate until she gets back. boooo!

headache.

Today, I have a really bad headache. It just seems to be getting worse and worse. Also, since we got the new senior newsletter, there are tons of new scholarships to be doing. Scholarships=stressful. But in the end, I really hope all of that hard work pays off. Last night I went to 2 different SuperBowl parties and ate WAY too much. I played some pitch...and lost. This was mainly my partners fault because he bid in clubs and laid down an 8 of spades (if you understand pitch). He's so smart. I have been having to ask off work a lot lately. I just have a lot of things going on that need to get done with school and stuff. I hope the rest of my week isn't as stressful as today!

bad mood.

Today is just not my day. The second my alarm went off this morning, I already knew it wasn't going to be a good day. First, I woke up late. Then, I got a text from my friend saying that there was a student council meeting in like 15 minutes which was really bad because I had to go pick up my cousin yet. I was late but Mr. Cover didn't care. Then, I have to work tonight which is going to be super stressful because the girls have a gymnastics competition this weekend in Columbus. This is my first time coaching at a competition and I'm pretty nervous because it is a lot of pressure. On top of this, I have other drama going on that I don't even want to talk about it. I am really hoping that the rest of the week gets A LOT better. ughh!

Illuminati.

Ok, so last night I was on google for like two hours. My brother told me that one of his friends has been talking about the Illuminati. He began telling me all of these stories about them and I was instantly intrigued. The Illuminati is a group of people that worship the devil and sell their souls to him. They are possessed by demons. Many celebrities, such as Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Tu-Pac, and Jay-Z, are said to be a part of it. They believe that they are going to take over the world in 2012. I just thought it was so interesting. Supposively, Obama is part of it too. There is so much information out there about it. The videos on You-Tube are full of the best info though. Check it out.

Rat Disection.

Today is Tuesday. I don't think that I have ever been so stressed in my entire life. Last night, I went to my brother's basketball game. They won 68-28 or something like that. When I got home, I began writing a to-do list and, seriously, it is about 8 miles long. I never realized how much stuff I actually need to get done. I hate dealines and I am a major procrastinator. I always get the things done that need to be done and when they need to be done, I just wait until the last minute to do it, which is never good.
In anatomy the past 2 days, we have been working on our rat disection. Yesterday we skinned them and today we pulled the fat tissue off of them...its disgusting, I know. They literally look like turkey meat without their fur. I have a lot of homework to do tonight so i better get started!

weekend.

Today is Friday which means tomorrow is the weekend. Yay. After school today I'm going to go workout at the YMCA and then finally a night of relaxation. I have the night off so I can just chill out. Yesterday I visited Wayne State College's campus and loved it. I'm dead set on going there. The entire campus is amazing and the cafeteria has a Taco Bell haha :), which is awesome. I met a girl while I was there and we hung out after my tour and interview which was a lot of fun. We have similar interests which made it easy to get along with her and this way I will know someone when I go to Wayne. The only thing that wasn't good about missing school was missing all of my classes and having to do all of the makeup work today. Which, in most cases, was a trillion pages of notes. So...I get to start my weekend with a hand cramp the size of Texas. SWEET.

Wednesdayyy.

I was really enjoying my snow days and was rather mad when my alarm went off today. I pretty much spent both of my snow days and most of my weekend with Cari and Brooke playing cards. Our favorite game is pitch...and we're definitely addicted. Monday and Tuesday consisted of playing cards and working. I am an instructor at Norfolk YMCA Gymnastics and this week is the start of a new session. This means that parents get to come in and watch me which is super scary. It's frustarting getting a new batch of kids that don't know much about gymnastics. Tomorrow I have an interview at Wayne State College for the RHOP scholarship. I want to be a nurse and this scholarship will pay for full tuition at Wayne State and then I would receive automatic acceptance into the University of Nebraska Medical Center. I made it to the finalist stage so I am excited to see what they have to say.     =]

my first blog ever.

I took this Creative Writing class so that it would better prepare me for college. I have heard that writing  classes in college are difficult so I wanted to get some extra practice in before graduating. I have never been a great writer and would like to improve my skills. I find it hard to think of topics to write about and I thought this class would help me in that area.
